Being Chief Executive for Shepway Sports Trust is a privilege and honour for me. I grew up and went to school in Shepway and was heavily involved in sport locally throughout this time. The area has always been close to my heart so I have real enthusiasm and passion to make a positive difference to sport and physical activity in Shepway. I strongly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be active and enjoy sport at a level they are comfortable with. At SST, it is our duty to remove any barriers and make this a reality for the people of Shepway.

I have had a passion for sport for as long as I can remember but the two sports which have been my greatest passion have been boxing and motorsport.  I feel very privileged to be working for such a great charity who are making a real difference to people’s lives and creating so many opportunities to get active no matter what their ability or background. With the support given to clubs and other organisations within the district we can collectively make Shepway the leaders in terms of sports development and what we do within our community.

As Marketing Manager for SST, I am responsible for covering all areas of our work and making sure everyone in Shepway knows about what we’re doing in schools, clubs and communities. I run the social media and marketing channels for the Trust and enjoy talking to our customers on a daily basis. The most rewarding aspect of my job is hearing and reading stories about people who have  improved their health and well-being through one of our programmes. Outside work I can be usually be found at the stables, indulging my love for equestrian sport!
