Profile

Ricky Reina and John Wilson are the brave duo who make up The Atlentic Avengers. Inspired by a James Cracknell and Ben Fogle book, Ricky recruited John to take on the ultimate challenge: rowing 3,800 nautical miles from Cadiz to Antigua. The challenge involved taking turns to row 2 hours on and off for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for three months in total. This mammoth feat was all in aid of Shepway Sports Trust, helping to raise essential funds to continue the work to make sport happen in the local community. Ricky and John hope they will inspire others to achieve the impossible, showing the world what can be accomplished when you have a fierce determination and a sense of adventure too.
