Get back into employment with Moving Forward Together!
Moving Forward Together is a sports employability programme funded by the European Social Fund. The project works with people who wish to get back into employment.
The current session runs every Tuesday 12pm to 2pm at Three Hills Sports Park. All participants are encouraged to arrive promptly at 12pm to start a session of physical activity for one hour. So far, the group have enjoyed trying out football, table tennis, basketball, boxing and other team sports. Afterwards we actively encourage all participants to use the state-of-the-art facilities at Three Hills Sports Park and then enjoy a hearty lunch of fresh sandwiches and fruit in the café bar.
Over lunch, the group talk about their future work/life goals and work on action plans with the Project Lead, Emily Ghassempour. Emily offers help with CV writing, support and guidance with interview skills, confidence building and consistent support and sign posting to other agencies and organisations like debt advice, housing, health and wellbeing and much more. The programme also supports and can fund work courses like the popular CSCS card and can also support participants getting onto higher/further education courses at Folkestone College.
Each programme runs for 19 weeks. If this sounds like something for you please get in touch to find out more.
